Richard was born and educated in England, after which he started his career as a trainee in the vast “Boots Pure Drug Company”, where both allopathic and natural medicines were equally acknowledged for what each had to offer the consumer, on his/her path to safe and effective healthy living. He was later sent to South Africa to manage a subsidiary company operation. It was then that he saw a major opportunity to concentrate more on natural medicines, particularly amongst indigenous herbalists, who today are contributing more and more universal knowledge and usage experience to the natural health industry.

In 1988 Richard and his wife Juliette started the very successful “Nutri-Balance Centre” retail chain of Health Shops in South Africa. The Centres provide personal service to the public, professional doctors and nutritionists, on all aspects of “Alternative Drugless Natural Health” products. His prime goal is to educate the public on the benefits of using “Natural Medicines” as the basis of a long term “Naturally Healthy Lifestyles” preventative program based on each persons specific Lifestyle.

During this period Richard used his vast knowledge to develop the “Drugless Apothecary” range of natural medicines which include the very successful Immune Booster – Astralife.

It was not long before Richards accumulative knowledge was brought to public attention when he was asked to contribute a weekly natural health column in a major newspaper and regular interviews by radio stations as more and more interest grew for knowledge of natural medicines and lifestyles.
