Social drinking finds favour amongst westerners because of its
relaxing and stimulating action. Like coffee drinking in days gone
by, it has become a growing lifestyle norm amongst both sexes.
Unfortunately alcohol is a nutritional robber of the first order and
can end up being needed more and more to satisfy cravings which take
over from the nutritional deficiencies that cumulatively manifest It
is at this point that the 'social grace' often becomes a 'social
disgrace' and the rest is history! It is the nervous system that is
most at risk. Symptoms of this stage creep up on one and show both mentally and
physiologically.
Increasing fear, Brain fag, mood swings, increased accident
proneness, drying and flaking skin, broken surface veins,
hypoglycemia, overt redness of the nose and cheeks, skin
blotchiness, gout, stiffness of joints, etc. etc. All this can be prevented by awareness of the negative effects and
knowledge of how to prevent their onset without having to become TT Women react more quickly to the effects of alcohol than men,
according to recent research. It's not only the alcohol in drinks
that imbalances body chemistry. The preservatives can have an even
bigger harmful effect (eg. sulphur dioxide levels in wine).
