BIRTH

Your Complete Guide to Labour

Knowing what to expect throughout the different stages of your baby's birth will help prepare you for whatever this glorious day brings.

As you near the end of your nine month journey, and look forward to the 'big day', you are probably wishing for a crystal-ball view of what your labour will entail. Such as, How long will it last?, Will I experience a lot of pain?, and How will I cope?. Well no-one can give you concise detailed answers to those questions, as every birthing experience has it's differences, but, one thing is for sure though, that at the end of all your hard work, you will be rewarded with the best gift that nature has to offer.

There are three stages to labour, each of which has a specific function:

The First Stage
The Second Stage
The Third Stage

Caring for yourself after the Birth
