Once things are back to normal, after the birth of your baby
it is time to give thought to family planning, unless you are
wanting to have another baby as soon as possible after the
first. It is advisable though to consider what form of
protection you plan to use before the birth, as there may be too
much occupying you mind once your baby has arrived. One tends to
be particularly fertile in the early months following a baby's
birth, and even though breastfeeding does offer some form of
protection, it isn't wise to rely solely on this, nor is it
necessary to have had a period before conception can occur
again.
