Did you know ...
Iron is an outstanding energy nutrient. Unfortunately iron is the most common nutritional deficiency in the world. 95% of all women between the ages of 20 and 45 are iron deficient. 90% of all children under 2 are also iron deficient.

Do you need more energy?

There are people who manage to keep going all day and still have reserves, while others feel worn out by eleven in the morning - and some of us can’t even start the day without coffee! When you reach the point where you need coffee just to keep going through the day you are basically ‘running on empty’. Yet with the right diet and nutrients you could rediscover the energy you need to stay on top of your life!

Maintaining a balanced blood sugar level is the first key to energy. When our blood sugar drops we feel fatigue. Low blood sugar can also trigger mental exhaustion, memory blanks, irritability and depression. Blood sugar, or glucose, is the body’s main fuel. We make it from the food we eat. Modern diets and lifestyles, however, lead to a tendency to low blood sugar, or hypoglycaemia. Sugar itself is a cause not a cure – as every parent knows, eating sweet foods sends blood sugar rocketing up only to crash again soon after. The foods we need to give us sustained blood sugar levels are protein (fish, meat, eggs, nuts, seeds) and complex carbohydrates (unrefined wheat and other grains, beans etc.).

A supply of nutrients such as Chromium and the B Complex Vitamins is also vital for maintaining energy. Many other nutrients are also important in small amounts – one reason why a good daily multivitamin/mineral is so necessary. However, there is an outstanding energy nutrient: Iron. None of the essential nutrients we consume will boost our energy without oxygen, and to carry oxygen throughout our body we need lots of red blood cells full of iron. Unfortunately iron is the most common nutritional deficiency in the world. 95% of women between the ages of 20 and 45 years old are iron deficient. 90% of children under 2 are also deficient, with older children only slightly better off. The usual signs of iron deficiency are fatigue and a pale face.

The good news is that G&G have formulated a superior protein powder which contains all the above, and many other vital nutrients, including Vitamin C, Calcium, Vitamin A, Selenium, Zinc, Folic Acid and Atriplex amongst others. In fact, it contains more than 40 vitamins, minerals and nutrients, all perfectly balanced for optimum health. It's name? Energy Plus of course! Available in Vanilla and Banana flavours, this powder mixes easily with juice or milk for a tasty energy boost at any time of the day.
