ENDOMETRIOSIS

More Endometriosis Info ...

A condition in which the cells lining the inside of the uterus (Endometrium) and/or around the ovaries grow abnormally to form unwanted tissue in the pelvic cavity. Symptoms include severe pain before the onset of the period, menstrual difficulties and irregularities, infertility (but not a cause of) extreme tiredness, hormonal imbalances.

LIFESTYLE ATTENTION

  • Reduce negative stress.
  • Reduce weight if overweight.
  • Avoid excessive caffeine, alcohol, salt, sugar and animal fats.
  • Eliminate fried foods, junk foods, shellfish and fast foods.
  • Re-plan diet to include up to 80% raw (or lightly steamed) vegetables, fresh fruits, fresh water fish, wholegrains, nuts (not peanuts), sprouted  seeds, good quality fermented foods and wholewheat pasta
  • Fasting 3 days before menstrual period has been recommended and  effective.
  • Use filtered or distilled water - not direct from tap.
  • Bed rest whenever possible.

HOMOEOPATHIC
Consult and be monitored regularly by a qualified Homoeopathic Practitioner. During treatment help strengthen pelvic muscles by stopping and starting flow of urine several times each time you urinate. If you are heavier than you should be, try to lose some weight.

TISSUE SALTS

  • Kali Mur - for profuse white discharge
  • Kali Sulph - for yellow/green discharge
  • Ferrum Phos - for pelvic congestion

HERBALS

  • Shepherds Pulse has a long history in the management of gynaecological
    disorders.

AROMATHERAPY

  • Look for an experienced therapist who can help increase strength of pelvic muscles.
  • Douche 2-3 x daily with tea tree oil or aloe vera.
  • After each meal take 4-5 drops of Rosemary oil in a little water.
  • For pain during menstruation take 3 drops of Cypress oil 3 x daily in water.
  •  Bath Mix - Geranium (20) Cypress (10) - Nutmeg (10) Clary Sage (10)

SPECIAL FOODS

  • Each morning combine equal proportions of carrot and celery juice with 25% filtered/distilled water added. One glass full.
  • Each evening combine watercress, cabbage and turnip leaves in juice form or steamed and taken before main meal.

SPECIAL EXERCISE
Yoga or Tai-Chi should seriously be included in weekly regime. Gentle aerobic exercise to be carried out on a "Re-bounder" - not on hard floors.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

  • Acupuncture
  • Lymphatic Cleansing
A course of Probiotics and Psyllium fibre intake
