GENITAL WARTS
Caused by the Human Papilloma virus often resulting in warts on
the vulva, vagina, cervix and around the anus in women, and
under the foreskin and in the urethra in men. These warts can be
particularly dangerous, in that they pose at least a seven times
greater risk to cancer of the cervix. The virus can lie dormant
for up to one year, causing detrimental damage, so it is
therefore advisable to attend your annual pap smear.
