HEPATITIS
A form of liver inflammation. Causes in modern
times emanate from drugs (medical) and stress. If
medical, always check side-effects from your G.P.
of any medicine prescribed to you for symptomatic
relief; Alcohol, or infections mainly of a viral
nature. According to medical opinion there are
many forms.
Hepatitis A: Commonly associated with countries
that have poor sanitation standards. The traveller
and children are at risk Sources of transmission
are - contaminated water, shellfish via sewerage,
food via handlers involved with poor standards of
hygiene.
Hepatitis B: Infection is spread via blood,
unprotected sexual contact,
shared needles, shared razors, non-sterilised
medical and dental equipment.
Hepatitis C: Spread by contaminated blood
transfusions or shared needles
Hepatitis D: Transmitted by blood and body fluids
- chronic carriers of "B". Risk to travellers is
basically limited.
Hepatitis E: Somewhat common in developing
countries and causing a milder Hepatitis. It has
been said however to be somewhat more serious in
pregnant women Spread by contaminated food and
water.
NB: "Hepatitis vaccines are recommended via a
medically qualified practitioner".
LIFESTYLE ATTENTION

Avoid any form of alcohol including medicines
with alcohol as a base.

Drastically reduce intake of saturated fats,
dairy products, fried foods, white flour products,
sugar, red meats, usual supermarket chickens, etc.

Increase intake of vegetables, beans, peas,
fruits. These have been researched as elimination
encouragers of bile acids and toxins that
accumulate in the liver and gall bladder.

Go for all food sources that are organic or free
range only. These sources decrease liver overload
of processing chemicals used in growing, canning
and refrigeration methods.

Do not consume any supplemental minerals that
originate from an inorganic source.

Drink only distilled or reverse osmosis filtered
water - nothing else.
