And Symptoms Of Hypertension

Hypertension, or high blood
pressure as it is also called, is a
health condition that may not even
have signs or symptoms. Don't be
fooled though, hypertension is a key
element in causing strokes, heart
attacks, heart failure and even death.
The signs and symptoms of hypertension
exist when blood pressure readings
over 140/90 occur on a consistent
basis.
Pre-hypertension symptoms exist when
blood pressure readings are between
120-139 for the diastolic number, and
80-89 for the systolic number.
Some of the signs and symptoms of
hypertension include:
Tiredness - You may experience
feelings of being tired all the time
even after having plenty of rest.
Nosebleeds - Having unexplained
sudden nosebleeds is a sign and
symptom of hypertension.
Irregular Heartbeat - If you
feel your heart beating irregularly,
call your doctor immediately.
Blurred Vision - This is a
classic hypertension symptom.
Confusion - Buzzing In The
Ears - Blood In Your Urine
- These are also additional signs and
symptoms of hypertension.
Hypertension is not diagnosed based on
a single high blood pressure reading.
It requires multiple readings over a
period of time before you know for
sure that you in fact have
hypertension.
There are some things you can do to
reduce the risk of hypertension and
high blood pressure.
Lose Weight - If you are currently
overweight then this can be quite
difficult on your heart and blood
pressure.
Exercise - By getting some daily
exercise you can lose the extra weight
and at the same time, strengthen your
heart and build endurance.
Eating - Begin eating a more healthy
diet. Cut back on the salt, fats and
calories.
If you notice a sign and symptom of
hypertension see your doctor or health
care provider. Have your blood
pressure checked on a regular basis
and begin taking the necessary steps
to reduce your risk of hypertension.
Doing so will lead to a more healthy
future.
