What is a 'normal lifestyle' for my life stage?
This is the question each of us have to answer based on our
own individual needs and aspirations, however “happiness”
features in most peoples requirements and as we know “The
key to happiness is health”. Arthur Schopenhauer the
famous philosopher once said “The greatest of follies is to
sacrifice health for any other kind of happiness”.
In recent times we are finding that even “macho men” are
becoming a lot more aware of their health and the need to have
a balanced lifestyle, eliminate obvious health eroding habits
and focus more on a nutritious diet and an appropriate fitness
routine.
As more and more research and information becomes available on
lifestyle diseases and the role that nutrition and “nutrition
busters” have on our health, a huge focus on men’s health has
emerged.
The basic factors to live a naturally healthy lifestyle have
not changed much over the years and remain fairly obvious,
however what has changed is our lifestyles. Our lives are far
more stressed, fast paced and often reliant on “fast foods”
while also being seriously affected by anti-nutrients like
pollution, man-made food chemicals and additives, food
processing, genetically modified foods, pesticides,
pharmaceutical drugs, recreational and street drugs and the
excessive use of alcohol, smoking and the consumption of
sugar, coffee, tea, impure water and fried foods. A sure
recipe for disease, suffering and premature death.
