SHINGLES
(Herpes Zoster)
The virus can be dormant for many years in a nerve
root and when immune system is low it emerges.
Symptoms often begin with extreme sensitivity over
a defined skin area such as ribs, neck, upper part
of face, or in a circle around the lower back
Eventually a rash appears which looks blistery and
eventually turns to scabs. If not treated
correctly can cause long-term nerve damage.
