SHINGLES
(Herpes Zoster)

The virus can be dormant for many years in a nerve root and when immune system is low it emerges. Symptoms often begin with extreme sensitivity over a defined skin area such as ribs, neck, upper part of face, or in a circle around the lower back Eventually a rash appears which looks blistery and eventually turns to scabs. If not treated correctly can cause long-term nerve damage.

LIFESTYLE ATTENTION

  • Substitute vegetable protein for animal protein.
  • No sugar, honey or sugar substitutes.
  • No foods containing inorganic iron, white flour or vitamin enriched.
  • No foods with salt added
  • Learn to use daily, relaxation techniques.
  • Avoid direct sunlight on affected skin areas.

  • Arsenicum Album - light pains
  • Niezereum - skin itching/burning
  • Ranunculus Bulbosus - pain between ribs
  • Variolium - for anyone who has been in contact with you.
    Take 30c once every 12 hours for 2 doses
